Last week…would be one of the exhausting day in my life…one of okey? …so, there were more and will be in the future compare to 8 years of exhausted experienced this was nothing… where should I begin ekk? ok …let say the excitement for me begin on the 9th November where I met my senior which also like to jump into the world of photography…maybe he had his own intention which I would like to say…for time being his intention quite blurry and not sincere enough to explore the art of capturing still image. So let he decide his path next time…for photography I would do anything within my grab to ‘join’ at least to fulfill my passion and my eagerness to experienced the thrill… I’ve decide not to just snap a picture…it would be nice if each of my pictures tell something to the person seeing it…I like to use the catch phrase … Let the pictures tell you a thousand stories than people tell you thousand lies…the pictures here can be either your photos or your artworks…It can be interpreted in a subjective ways…(while i was typing, i kept on thinking…does my blog always full of S*IT?) the catch phrase I’ve used kinda knock my head a bit, hi hi hi…. so let begin with this picture which on the 8th a Talk from Zainal Halim our very own Reuters Photographer (taken date 8th Nov 2008 at 10.25am)

The definition itself had caught my attention

The definition itself had caught my attention

Before the talk even begun…I was looking at this definition … I liked it very much and hoping this what would I do in the future. Sometimes I admire photos and pictures full of manipulation which I actually didn’t keen of ( I really don’t like editing up to a standard which manipulate the whole picture) but still I did it for the purpose of experimenting with photoshop…. we can also see the artwork from Zainal Halim at his own Gallery of pictures…at ZainalHalim.com … a passionate photographer that been acknowledge by Reuters…taip je sniri www.reuters.com … (sebab aku try paste link tak berjaya takpn click kat alamat penuh tu) …kejap aku promo abang zainal nih (walhal dia takyah dah aku nak promo, tapi disebabkan aku envy tul kat gambo2 dia…) first Sorry the caption was intentionally not to be included (sebab tu milik abang Zainal) so …. to maintan the quote of let the pictures tell you the stories …some more photos

See how marvelous the photos can be…. and here was the latest update in his web ,…

what can I expected from a photojournalist … a photo that tell you some stories. which I like this concept… We’ve heard what a real Reuters Photographer gave us a talk and here is the man himself

courtesy of MN - one of the participants in the talk …

I would not say much how his talk had inspired most of us … he did say something about the rules that we need to follow in becoming photo journalist … not really a rule but quite an ethic I would say…because as we all knew that rules is meant to be broken. But ethic should come first, to share his talk… I’ve become quite unwilling …don’t call me stingy because I paid for his talk… but I still can share something … he really gave us a few tips on how he use to follow an ethic on how you need to be a photojournalist … First, No photo manipulation except simple levelling and cropping image. Second, No posing ’subject’ in the picture (maksudnya takleh mintak orang pose dalam gambo). Third, mingle around with the local to obtain their slight trust…so that when you shoot, they will be ready (not pose but accept the fact you were there to do your job).Fourth, obtain stories from news and other source, so that you have a story to be compose through your photos… dan sebagainya

This would be my summary on what he said before…the point of you need to send your pictures with caption also hold an important parts of being photojournalist…be patient with a passion in it. Bring a picture worth to be publish and caught the people attention seeing it.

Participants - and Zainal Halim

Apit n His wife pose with a few gadgets temporarily owned by Zainal Halim (because the gadgets belong to Reuters~as he said it)

So the talk seem to be affected my faint heart and a few other guys and it brings more passion to me … to indulge the power of still image…  ermm I’ve been saying to much for my 1st post on this title … take a break and wait my 2nd post…to be continued

Di sini …. aku lahirkan kekecewaan dgn corak permainan bolasepak Malaysia ni … bukan sebab kalah sahaja…tapi…corak permainan yg diharapkan langsung tak ditonjolkan…permainan un responsive yg ditunjukkan oleh pemain senior seperti tak sebati dgn skuad muda…indera putra contohnya…macam hilang arah dgn banyak incomplete passes…dan less visionary…hafiz zamani misbah pn…banyak lack of order…certain masa ja… sebab Malaysia yg menguasai permainan dgn mudah … kurang bisa penyudahnya…formasi yg tertera pn macam hilang arah…peranan wingback yg agak tak menjadi pn menjadi satu masalah besar…bila diorg tak go deep utk feed bola kepada foward…safee sali seolah tak bijak mencuri peluang yg terhidang…. long shot yg terlalu banyak dan mudah … macam training ja…corner kick yg berbelas kali …seringkali tersasar ataupn terus ke tengah kotak D dan memudahkan goal keeper utk challenge…
Maafla…aku bukan Shebby Singh nak komen lebey2 cuma sekadar menjadi rakyat Malaysia yg nak cuba melayan bolasepak Malaysia macam aku tengok liga-liga lain dalam dunia main bola…tgk Malaysia senior main malam tu…membuatkan aku terasa ‘malu’ sedikit…dengan cara permainan Malaysia yg agak ‘kasar’ macam bermain ragbi…walhal cara memenangi bola bukan sekadar terjahan dan rempuhan membuta tuli…secara teknikal pn ada…walau aku bukan main bola semi/pro aku pernah main bola dan berlatih…ditambah pulak sikap acuh tak acuh pemain yg mungkin serba sedikit memandang rendah pada pihak lawan…ada gak nampak cam berlagak pn ada…sket2 pn nak tunjuk kepala..mentang-mentanglah berlawan di stadium sendiri…
Permainan yg ditunjukkan pada final Pestabola tempoh hari… membuatkan ramai penyokong Malaysia kecewa dan rasa hampa…permainan yg kurang berbisa ditambah pulak sikap pemain yang merasakan diri macam superstar di atas padang…(pada pendapat ikhlas aku…pemain senior Malaysia ni kurang bijak meletakkan emosi tu…klau lawan dgn kumpulan ‘lemah’ kita memandang rendah…klau lawan kumpulan ‘kuat’ …kita malu alah)…
Sakit hati bila tengok…pencapaian yg aku tengok…tak ke mana…biorla surat khabar repot yg bagus2…aku tetap tak puas ati …setiap kali melabur utk tiket…kepuasan yg dicari tak dapat…bayangkan sepanjang minit mendominasi skuad ‘kecik’ macam dibuli-buli…ibarat abang menolak2 kepala adik ja…akhirnya…tersungkur akibat leka…peluang selama 90+30 minit mendominasi perlawanan diabaikan … tryout yg merepek, kesalahan yg tak sepatutnya…permainan macam budak kecik…sepak bola is bola sepak … tadak tektikal yg berkesan…aku taktau samada teknikal yg tersungkur atau memang bebal sesetengah pemain Malaysia…bila yg tua tak membimbing… yg muda hilang arah…Encik B Sathianathan…buang je pemain yg tunjuk ‘Hero’ kekalkan pemain yg rendah diri dan mampu menyerlah…
